"Eucy Mulch", as it is commonly known is produced from the "fines" of the hardwood woodchip. It is made up of pieces of wood about the size of a match, which will matt down well to really supress weeds & hold the water in. Eucy Mulch takes longer to break down than other mulches and is suitable for all plant types. Eucy Mulch starts as a fresh hardwood timber colour tends to fade to a grey colour as it gets older. We still recommend a depth of 75mm, however you can get away with 50mm if you are prepared to top it up more regularly. Ensure you keep mulch clear from tree trunks and base of plants to avoid rot.
